TITLE: TEMPTATION! The Serpenti Seduction
PRODUCT/BRIEF: We were tasked with taking the iconic Bvlgari Serpenti Jewellery and translating them into a four page advertorial for the ‘Nightcall’ issue of RUSSH Magazine that both paid tribute to the brand’s codes and interpreted them in an artistic way.
IDEA: The Temptation of Adam. The idea is to play on Bvlgari’s Snake motif with reference to the biblical story of the garden of Eden with Adam, Eve and the serpent. The copy TEMPTATION beckons the viewer to be seduced into owning the iconic serpent pieces themselves. The use of references here are important- the apple - an iconic symbol of the temptation of Adam in the biblical story, the two hands with outstretched fingers mimic the famous pose from the historical The Creation Of Adam painting by Michelangelo. The model’s expressions show the wrestle with self control and seduction when the lure of temptation is strong.
